How to Adjust P, I, and D Values
P - Proportional Control - Adjusts response to the error with a proportionality constant. Increasing this will result in the error being corrected at a faster rate, at the expense of potential overcorrection. Decreasing this would result in a slower correction rate.
I - Integral Control - Used to make smaller adjustments and eliminate residual error. Increase this if the error is mostly corrected but not completely.
D - Derivative Control - Used to dampen the control response by changing control input proportionally to the derivative. Use this along with the other controls to prevent overcorrection/overshoot of the error.
